Dear Friends, since we last wrote much has changed and life has been something of a roller-coaster. We are very grateful that God is at the controls. As we write God is amazingly putting many things in to place and enabling us to continue to move forward into all He is asking of us.
In January we learnt that Bosnia and Herzegovinian (BiH) Laws had changed, we can get residents permits (Boravak) as volunteer workers and previously the children could get them as our dependants, this is no longer the case, instead they need them in their own right. Micah and Talitha could get them if they started school right away but as Ezekiel and Hadassah are below BiH school age they could not get them. After many discussions between Novi Most Team Leader, Indira, and local officials it became clear the one way round this was for us to purchase and live in a property in BiH, then we could all get our Boravak.
We had only planned to rent, but after much prayer we felt it was right to try and buy as we believe this is where God is leading us. House buying is a challenging business in this country, the thought of doing this at such a distance in a foreign language was daunting. During the process we have at times almost despaired at finding anything suitable, at a price we can afford, within the time frame we had hoped for. We were just setting a new plan for Adam to go ahead of us by 3 months to help the process along when God stepped in.
As I write we have found a property and are praying that a mortgage would be granted to us.
Alongside all of this we have been busy downsizing, packing and trying to work our way through the myriad of things we need to do for a move of this size. God has also provided a removal firm willing to move us.
The children have been amazing, getting on with life as Mummy and Daddy spend hours chatting things through, working, packing. Letting Mummy give away/sell toys, books and clothes that they no longer use.
Micah has been blessed with various opportunities, winning a weeks football coaching by QPR and a ticket to a match, followed the next week by a National Deaf Children's Society football event at Charlton Athletic including watching a Match. (Thanks to those in the church who have helped him realise these opportunities when we have been unable to.) Also he was recently chosen to represent his school at an inter-school athletics competition and has just been put on the Gifted and Talented register for Numeracy and writing.
Talitha is now looking forward to going to BiH, having struggled with it for some time. She is hoping for a Birthday Party with her new friends there as her 7th Birthday is just a couple of weeks after we hope to go. She grows artistically, and creatively all the time. If you ask about any picture she has drawn there is always some amazing story depicted which she tells you in great detail.
Ezekiel, too, is showing an artistic leaning. He loves coming home and showing us his 'Rocket Stars', or boats he has made at school, and recently made mummy jump when he came out of school hiding behind a scary mask he had made. He keeps proudly announcing, 'I am growing taller, I'll be tall like Micah soon'.
Hadassah has just turned 2 and through many twists and turns with her health God has remained faithful and she has now been signed off from 2 hospitals and just has one sight test remaining. She now attends Just for Me Preschool which she loves, and is walking everywhere, for the first time in 8 years Rachel is often without a buggy! Hadassah keeps us all amused with her cute, cheeky personality and keeps us on our toes with her adventurous climbing.
For our plans to go to BiH to become a reality we need a number of people to partner with us both in prayer and financially.
We would like to ask each of you if would prayerfully consider, if you have not already, if this is something God is asking of you at this time.

If you believe God would like you to partner with us financially we would be very grateful for any financial support you are able to give either via a one off gift or preferably a regular monthly amount, which will assist us in our budgeting as the majority of our expenditure will be regular.
We estimate that if 85 individuals or groups are able to give between £2 and £100 per month with an average of about £25 per month our costs would be covered, (we are about half way to this figure at present, thank you to all of you who have contributed so far) which includes all our daily living expenses plus housing costs, flights to and from the UK and some training expenses.
We have a standing order and gift aid form which you can download from our website or we are able to send to you. If you are a UK Tax Payer at present Gift Aid increases your gift by 28% at no extra cost to you. We would be grateful if any standing order could be set up to start in April as we need the finances in place before we go,hopefully early in May.
