If you are a WebMember (and all Greenford Baptist Church members with This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it email redirect addresses are) you will be able to add articles, jokes and blog entries etc. to this website. You do this by using the website's text editor, which appears in your web browser.

Please print out the following instructions and refer to them while creating website articles. If you find these instructions too difficult you may email your article to WebAuthor.

Here is how to write an article or blog etc.

1) Composing On-Line

  1. Click "WebMember Login..." in the menu above, enter your user name and password and press the Login button.
  2. Click the "Submit an article, joke, etc...." link in WebMember menu which has just appeared below the main menu.
  3. Enter a suitable title in the website text editor's Title box. Depending on which section of the website you want the article to appear, select the appropriate Section and Category from the drop down menu e.g. Section = "News" and Category = "Current News" or Section = "Blog" and Category = "General Blog".
  4. Write directly into the text editor box (don't press the "Save" button until you have completed the article and are happy everything is 100%).
  5. Format the text with bullet points etc and headings (please use Heading 4 for headings).
As mentioned previously only press the "Save" button when you are 100% happy your article is ready for publication, i.e. you have inspected the formatting and spelling etc.

Please be aware that if you are a basic "Author" level WebMember, once you have pressed Save button you will not be able to re-open your article for further editing. If your WebMember level has been raised to "Editor" status you will be able to re-open saved articles and re-edit them.

Your article will not be published immediately as it has to be approved by WebAuthor, which can take up to 24 hours. Your article may be edited or re-formatted by WebAuthor before it os published on the website.

2) Using a Word Processor - an alternate way.

Using your regular word processor instead of the website's text editor is sometimes more convenient.

Next continue with instruction 1, 2, and 3.

Then instead of instruction 4) above, simply Copy and Paste your completed article into the website's text editor using the "Past as plain text" button above (second line down, second icon in from the left). Using the "Past as plain text" icon is vital as it removes all the unwanted word processor formatting.

Continue with instructions 5 above.

Log out by initially clicking Logout in the WebMember menu above and finally pressing the Logout button, which completes the process.
