(Inspired by Colossians 1:12-19)

It's not the mortar which holds this church together
But His love inside us for all humanity
No, it is not the roof above which protects us
But our faith in the Father of divinity

To know He is with us, walking through our despair
Reaching out to our loving God who's always there
To hear each voice sing praises to His name
And to find forgiveness, the reason why we came

We come to seek the truth in Jesus Christ!

It's not the programs or the projects that matter
But the serving of each other, which makes us whole
Sharing the joy of His spirit; His perfect grace
For what is a church, if not driven by His soul?

Yes, it is the hands reaching out to each other
And the blessed arms which support one another
It is the lips that serve His caring words today
For the ears that hear them, have cold hearts melted away

We come to share the truth in Jesus Christ!

No it's not concrete that is our one foundation
Nor the stain glass that is reflecting His true light
Our cornerstone the product of our precious faith
And it is our love for our Lord that's burning bright

A unity of people, praying for our world
A people of faith, believing in one Lord
Feeling His spirit at the table we revere
Then to tell the nations, "Our Saviour is here!"

We come to live the truth in Jesus Christ!

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in Him. - 1 John 4:16
